Catchment

There is no set catchment area and it changes dependent on the applications received for that particular year.

Over subscription

If there is over subscription within any criteria, priority is given according to the distance from the pupil’s permanent home address to the school. Distance is measured by a straight lines from the address point of the pupil’s house, as set by Ordnance Survey to the nearest school gate for pupils to use. You can find out how far you are from the school on the Wandsworth Borough Council website.

Nursery

There are 26 children in the Nursery at any one time. A full time place is between 9.00am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday. A part time place will be either 9.00am Monday – midday on Wednesday or 12.30pm Wednesday to Friday 3.30pm. We have found this two and a half day system works very well for the part time children.

We follow the criteria as set out in the booklet “Starting School in Wandsworth”. As stipulated by Wandsworth Local Education Authority, there is no automatic transfer from Nursery to Reception and parents are asked to reapply for a Reception place.

We hold many “Open Mornings”, in the autumn and spring terms. Please check our calendar for dates and contact the school office to book a place on the tour.

Other Year Groups and In Year Admissions

As with Reception admissions, Wandsworth Council co-ordinates requests for the transfer to a new School across the Borough. If there is a space available in the year group requested, you will, under normal circumstances, be offered the place. If there is no place available you will be added to our waiting list and we will contact you if a place becomes available.

The following applications will be treated as in-year admissions:

• applications after 1st September 2017, for admission to Reception
• all applications for admission to Years 1 to 6

Applications must be made to Wandsworth Borough Council directly. Where there are more applications than places available, each application will be ranked in accordance with the published oversubscription criteria for the School.

School Tours

We always welcome visits from prospective parents, whether in our Early Years classes at the start of your child’s school career, or at other points in their primary life. Please contact the school directly in the first instance to see if we have any spaces available in your required year group and to arrange a visit.

Upon commencement of the autumn term, our first School Tour will be held on Friday 29th September 2017 from 11.00am to 11.45am with our Head Teacher.  During the tour you will have the opportunity to visit each class and see the children in action, if you would like to bring your child with you, they would be most welcome.

Please phone the School Office on 0207 2283857 to make further enquiries and schedule a school tour.
